Accessibility

The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). For information on accessible seating and requirements, visit our Accessibility page.

Attire

While there is no dress code, many of our patrons enjoy dressing up for the opera. Opening nights are generally "black-tie" - it's not unusual to see tuxedos and elegant dresses. For an evening performance, we typically recommend business or cocktail attire. Sunday matinees are slightly more casual, with men in sport coats and women in nice dresses or pantsuits.

Location

The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is located at the east end of the Denver Performing Arts Complex, on 14th Street and Curtis, Denver, 80204.

Directions

Driving Directions to the Denver Performing Arts Complex from I-25: Take I-25 toward downtown Denver. Take the Speer Boulevard South exit. Follow Speer Boulevard to Arapahoe Street (past Elitch's and the Pepsi Center). Turn left on Arapahoe Street. The Denver Performing Arts Complex is located on your right, between 13th and 14th Streets off Arapahoe Street.

Parking and Transportation

Please allow plenty of time for parking. Shows begin promptly. Check your tickets for show times. If you arrive late, you will be locked out of the show until intermission! Check out parking and transportation information online!

The Denver Performing Arts Complex Garage : ARRIVE EARLY!
The garage is often full one hour prior to the performance. Please note: an early arrival will afford you plenty of time for parking and finding your seats. All evening shows start promptly at 7:30 pm. All matinees begin at 2:00 pm.

As of July 2009, rates at the complex parking garage have increased. After completing an area parking study, Central Parking and Denver Public Works - the managers and owners of the parking garage - determined that a slight raise in parking fees would be necessary in order to maintain the level of quality and service in a changing industry. Please be aware of the new pricing structure when parking at the Denver Performing Arts Complex.

Daily rates for the Denver Performing Arts Complex Garage
Early Morning Special (in by 9 AM, out by 6 PM) - $6
Up to 1 hour - $4
1 - 2 hours - $6
All day maximum - $9
Overnight - $19

Evening/event rates:
Evening rates will now range from $8 - $12 depending on the number of events taking place at the performing arts complex at one time.

The Colorado Convention Center Parking Garage
The garage offers 1,000 additional parking spaces conveniently adjacent to the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The garage is linked to the Denver Performing Arts Complex via an uncovered bridge. Enter the garage off of Speer at Champa Street. Parking is the same price as at the DPAC garage, but is often much less crowded.

RTD Light Rail
RTD Denver's Light Rail system is an easy and convenient system of transportation to the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Visit RTD Denver's website for schedules, maps and other information.
