Expanding our reach and raising voices within our community

Opera Colorado Amplified is an innovative new series featuring both in-person and digital performances, designed to expand our reach and raise voices within our Opera Colorado community.

Music lifts us up and helps us to better understand the world around us. This season we continue our Opera Colorado Amplified programming with UNKNOWN, a new song cycle by Shawn Okpebholo and Marcus Amaker. Register for free access to the new digital film starting November 4, 2021.

During the 2020-21 Season, we worked with world-class artists and bring unique, digital programs to Colorado and beyond. In partnership with Rocky Mountain Public Media, we offered The Promise of Living and April in Paris, two new, digital concerts completely free of charge, as well as pay-what-you-can educational programs performed by the Opera Colorado Artists in Residence, and a series of in-person events in partnership with Denver Botanic Gardens, University Club of Denver, and other community partners.

UNKNOWN is a dramatic song cycle honoring the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington Cemetery, which occurs on November 11, 2021.
