Alone in the enchanted forest, a lovesick Fenton (tenor Mingjie Lei) meditates on his happiness and what a kiss truly means in “Dal labbro il canto estasiato vola” (From the lips the song in ecstasy flies). Hearing this from afar, Nanetta (soprano Susannah Biller) joins him for a kiss. The lovers are interrupted when Alice Ford (soprano Cynthia Clayton) and Dame Quickly (mezzo-soprano Dana Beth Miller) join them, ready to disguise Fenton as a monk and trick the unsuspecting Falstaff. #SempreOC
