Opera Colorado Archives: The Opera Colorado Chorus in La Traviata (2018)

Nowadays, we find ourselves thinking back to the biggest, most raucous parties we used to stage at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House… Flora (Kira Dills DeSurra) threw an epic party for for the ages in our 2018 production of Verdi’s La Traviata.
In “Noi siamo zingarelle venute da lontano” (We are gypsy girls who have come from afar), Flora invites a squad of dancers to entertain her guests. But she may have gotten more than she bargained for, as her beau, the Marchese d’Obigny (Nicholas Kreider), gets swept away by a sultry dancer. Even Dr. Grenvil (Eric McConnell) gets in on the action!
Tune in next week for part two of this epic party! We hear Flora invited some macho matadors… #SempreOC
