2020 Resilience Fund

Throughout 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic greatly impacted our community, and uncertainty has loomed large. In October, we made the difficult decision to postpone all 2020-21 mainstage productions and reschedule them during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 Seasons.

Despite its challenges, this season has become an opportunity to embrace Opera Colorado’s innovative spirit. In lieu of our 2020-21 mainstage season, we present Opera Colorado Amplified, an innovative series featuring both in-person and digital performances designed to expand our reach and raise voices within our Opera Colorado community. OC Amplified began last fall with the digital world premiere of The Trial of Susan B. Anthony. The series continues in 2021 with exciting programs featuring Laquita MitchellNmon Ford, Israel Gursky, Davis Contemporary Dance Company, Catherine Cook, Sahar Nouri, Cecilia Violetta LópezLuis Ledesma, the Opera Colorado Artists in Residence, and the Opera Colorado Orchestra musicians. Learn more here.

Your enthusiasm, advocacy, and support are key to our current and future success! We are launching the Opera Colorado Amplified Resilience Fund to raise the $225,000 needed to produce digital content, which will be available for free, and deliver creative, in-person programming when we can do so safely.

This is a challenging time for us all, but we are doing everything we can to keep us connected, preserve this great art form, and ensure a safe and successful return to the Ellie for a tremendous 2021-22 Season. We look forward to embarking on this new journey with you, and we hope you will consider supporting us with a gift to the Resilience Fund.
