Opera Colorado gratefully accepts various types of contributions. Click the tabs below to learn how your gift can make a meaningful impact!

Remember those important to you by making a gift in honor of, or in memorial to, someone you know. Your names will appear on the tribute page of Opera Colorado’s mainstage program book, and your fully tax-deductible contribution directly supports Opera Colorado.

Transferring appreciated stocks to Opera Colorado is a great way to ensure the continued success of the art form in Denver. When you donate publicly traded stocks to Opera Colorado, you may avoid capital gains taxes. You may also take the full fair market value of the gift as a charitable deduction on your income taxes.

More and more of our patrons are choosing to make charitable contributions to Opera Colorado through Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs). This option allows donors to manage their charitable giving through a centralized platform, recommending gifts to public organizations of their choice. Please note that these gifts can not be given in exchange for any goods and services, or to pay for an existing pledge.

You can ensure opera lives on by making a gift in your estate plan. This type of charitable gift arrangement allows you to make a gift now or after your lifetime, while enjoying financial benefits for yourself and your loved ones.

To let us know that you have included Opera Colorado in your estate plan and to be recognized in our Crescendo Society program listing, please contact Director of Development Erin Wenzel at 303.468.2040 or ewenzel@operacolorado.org.

Donate your vehicle through Cars for Charity, and the proceeds can benefit Opera Colorado! Cars for Charity accepts automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, boats, and recreational RVs, whether or not they’re still running. Donations are tax deductible.

The IRS will now allow those who take the standard deduction (the majority of taxpayers) to deduct from their 2020 taxes up to $300 of contributions made to a non-profit, which may allow you to support Opera Colorado and simultaneously save on your tax-bill! Please consult with a financial advisor to decide whether this might be an option for your contribution.
