ACCESSIBLE SEATING

The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is accessible to persons with disabilities, and offers wheelchair-accessible seating and companion seats. Such tickets are available for online purchase, but our Patron Services team is always happy to assist with your order! To purchase by phone, please call 303.468.2030, Monday–Friday, 10 am–5 pm.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

The Denver Performing Arts Complex Garage offers accessible parking on Levels 3, 4, and 5. The Ellie Caulkins Opera House entrance is located on Level 3. Please be aware that the DPAC often hosts several events a day, and parking can fill up quickly. However, you can ensure event parking by pre-purchasing your spot online.

If parking across the street at the Colorado Convention Center Garage, patrons should take the Z elevators on the Champa Street side to “Street Level.” Then cross Champa at the signal and follow the 13th Street sidewalk to the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The path is accessible and well-lit. From there, take the DPAC Garage elevators to Level 3 to reach the Ellie Caulkins Opera House entrance.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES

Free audio-enhanced infrared listening systems are available at all performances at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Please see an usher at your performance to request a free audio device.

AUDIO-DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES

Opera Colorado’s Sunday matinee performances at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House are audio-described for people with visual impairments. Please visit an usher at your performance to request a free audio device.

SUBTITLE SYSTEM

Each seat in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House is outfitted with an individual Figaro System, which offers subtitles of the performance in English or Spanish. Instructions for operating the titling system are included in the program book you’ll receive at the performance. (A synopsis of the opera is also printed in the program book.)

If you experience difficulty with the system, please contact an usher for assistance. A limited number of hand-held Figaro System devices are available at Coat Check in the lobby, for patrons who may have trouble viewing the installed subtitling systems at their seats.
