Joe Beumer designs for opera, theatre, and dance nationally and internationally. Recent designs include Cavalleria rusticana(Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera), La Traviata (Palm Beach Opera), and the world premiere of State of the Jews (American Opera Projects – NYC). Previous designs for Opera Colorado include Daughter of the Regiment, Don Giovanni, Rigoletto, Cavalleria rusticana, and The Barber of Seville. Other current projects include a new production of Der Schauspieldirektor & Iolanta (Göteborg Opera w/ Thomas C. Hase) and two new immersive shows for Virgin Voyages’ newest ship The Brilliant Lady.
